Leesa was founded by two men who wanted to create a bed that would be simple yet comfortable for everyone. Their commitment to corporate responsibility and their famous Michael Phelps mascot is what drove their brand to become one of the most popular mattresses.
How it stands out
Leesa not only wants to create a comfortable bed but also a comfortable world to live in. They have three different social impact programs:
One-Ten: For every ten beds sold, another is donated. They have donated over 22,000 mattresses to nonprofits such as those impacted by homelessness, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
One-Earth: This program plants one tree for every mattress they sell.
One-Community: This initiative supports local communities through donations and volunteering.
Awards and Recognition

- Silver Award for Best in Biz Awards 2017
Leesa's bed contain three layers of foam and are 10 inches thick.
Leesa Mattress Layers
Layer One: 2" of Avena foam top layer for added airflow and bounce.
Layer Two: 2" of pressure relieving foam.
Layer Three: 6" base for support that is sturdy but not too firm.
This mattress is described as medium firm. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the firmest, the Leesa is a 6.
This aspect is important if you are sleeping with a partner who tosses and turns a lot. This mattress doesn't have any significant issues with motion transfer and is similar to other memory foam beds you might find.
The Leesa Mattress has a 100 night trial. If you don't love it you can return it for free. The only exception is if you live in Alaska or Hawaii where there will be a $100 fee to return a mattress.
Leesa mattresses hold a 10 year warranty. As long as the defect is a result of the bed's quality (for example, any indents) you will be covered.
